ParticipantOur Zanussi ZENB9750SI fridge/freezer has recently stopped working in the fridge section. The freezer section is fine with no obvious problems but the fridge section is no longer keeping things cool.
Tried changing the dial in the fridge from 2 to 5 but there were no changes by doing so. It stayed the same slightly cool temperature.
The lights in the fridge section still turn on fine and if you leave the fridge door open too long the beeping noise still comes along after about five minutes to remind you to shut the door. The only issue seems to be that the fridge isn’t making it cold.
Can anyone provide any assistance?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You’ll have to check but the most likely cause, after I sussed what it was, is probably this thermostat mounted behind the rear cover in the fridge.
The fridge “draws” cold air from the freezer and thermostat with the little flap on it opens to allow cold air from the freezer to enter the fridge. I’d lay odds that the flap isn’t opening as it should giving you the fault described.

Another possible cause also could be that the duct from the freezer is full of ice and not allowing cold air to be drawn up.Try defrosting for 24 hrs and turn back on.

I posted a similar issue but had no reply.
I have the same model with same problem the temp alarm sounds and I have no option but to manually defrost which is very annoying. I have changed the PCB which made no difference.
I posted this issue previously but had no replies. The temp alarm has just sounded again after 6 weeks so its defrost time again and hope a relative has space for my goods.
Any further advice please. If it is the flap freezing up how do we prevent this? Its a pity if this problem cannot be cured as the unit is in excellent condition and will only end up at the local tip.
Any ideas pleaseThanks
Phil
