    Hi All,
Any idea what is causing this, and how much it will cost?
I previously owned a Hotpoint Mistral which had a similar problem, and the thermostat had to be replaced on 2 separate occasions. On the third(!) I threw it out(only 4 years old) and had this model as a replacement. It is only 2 years old. As you can imagine, my opinion of frost-free at this moment isn’t a high one!
Any (constructive please!) help most appreciated!

The first thing to do is manually defrost the freezer…power off with the freezer door open for 48hrs.

Switch on and report back if you get problems please…but note that if indeed there is a problem it may take a couple of weeks to show up again so don’t immediately stock up with venison, smoked salmon and caviar 😉 😆

It may simply be that the fz door has been left ajar for an extended period causing the fz evaporator to block with ice in which case once defrosted it will be ok again 😉
