Zanussi ZJ1218 no display

Going out the this on Thursday. Apparently only a couple of years old. According to the customer the mains light will come on but the display is blank and the machine cannot be started.

Any previous on these that I should look out for?

The common one is main PCB fault caused mainly by doorlock. Take a look under cover and you will probs see where its blown.

I suspected as much, seems as though Zan PCb’s are trying to catch up with Merloni. 😥

Display was working on this machine but when set to any programme it will start and then abort after a few seconds, the door unlocks and the display shows 0.

Running diagnostics shows E66 ( did come up E60 once as well)

Heater is in perfect condition so it looks like the power board has failed. 😥

watch out for damaged minature start switch on the display board caught me out a few weeks back machine was doing all sorts of strange things. when I took the front off to check the harness I found the top of the switch inside the front panel got the local electronics bod to solder on a new one and all ok

Thanks wilf, apart from one E60 it is constant on the E66 every time and the touch switches all appear to be operating perfectly, well worth looking out for though. 8)
