Hi. The main oven element has blown on my Zanussi ZKC5030. I’ve removed the element and a physical inspection shows it to be faulty. However before I order a replacement part I suspect that something else went bang at the same time as the element as there is no power to the clock / timer display and the fan doesn’t work. The hob and top oven both work as normal. Am I right in thinking that the clock / timer and fan would still work if it was just the element that blew? Or I’m wondering if there is an internal fuse to the main oven that I’ve missed? Thanks for reading and for your help.
No internal fuse as far as i’m aware. Normally element replacement would be all you need, but sometimes a blown element takes out trip or fuse. Have you checked house fuseboard, is there power to theactual oven?
Hi. Thanks for your reply. The top oven and the hob are both working as normal so the problem with the main oven isn’t to do with a tripped power supply to the unit. The main oven element is certainly faulty, but what is causing the clock / timer to have no power and the fan not to operate?
