Zanussi ZOD685X fan oven probs.

Zanussi ZOD685X double oven. PNC:- 944171515. Serial no:- 83800003.

Customer reports that the main fan oven element stays on (glowing orange hot) when the oven was switched off. Also the main oven has a tendency to overheat sporadically.
I think there is a sticking relay on the power board; but as usual, damn thing works perfectly while I am there. 😈

Anyone had issues with these power cards? Or any other ideas or solutions to the problem? (barring a big yellow 6 yard thing to throw it in!)

Have got ones with faulty relay on board which was obselete when I looked for a price.
Also remember one doing it that had a fault down to earth on another element, so advise to megger the elements for an earth fault first.
Can be dangerous if left in that stage because element can come on if not selected, so advise customer to switch off at wall switch.

Agree with seamy. Had one with an earth fault that caused the same problem
