ParticipantHello, am new to the site and found this whilst searching online for a solution to a diswasher problem. I hope someone can help. :rolls:
I have had the Zanussi ZSF2420 (the small tabletop diswasher) for 2 years with no peoblem. Yesterday it stopped working through a cycle. All the lights went out and it makes a pumping noise as it its trying to drain. It was also leaking underneath.
I emptied the unit, and lifted it and drained it. The diswasher appeared to be back to normal and started, however, once I started the programme again it it did the same, all lights off and made the draining noise. I have carried out this process a few times now, and it will not work.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks in anticipation.December 4, 2008 at 3:00 pm #270663iadom

Does water run out from inside the machine if you tilt it?
It does sound as though you have an internal leak into the base of the machine.
You will need to identify the source of the leak.

The water seemed to come from underneath the unit. Not sure where – I empied the machine by liffting and tilting to the righthand side.

Not actually seen one of these close up, table top dishwashers are not very common.
However, looking at the parts diagram it does appear to have a removable base plate.
Remove the mains plug, place a few towels on the floor and tilt it onto its left hand side looking from the front, try not to lie it completely flat to the floor. You should then be able to remove the base plate to examine the internal hoses, pumps and seals etc for leaks.
If in doubt then try the link at the bottom of this post to see if we have someone in your area who can help.
Someone may pop in later who may know where the common leak points are on this machine.
Oversoaping is also a very common problem a on small dishwashers.

Thanks Jim – I’ll try that. Really helpful. Thank you.
It sounds quite simple!
