The wash motor / recirculation pump has power but is not pumping water through to circulate the spray arm.

The machine fills OK, and when it comes to kick into the wash, the motor is making a rattling noise, it manages a couple of rotations of the spray jet then stops after a few seconds. The motor is also quite warm to the touch, after operating for about 20 seconds.

Had the machine apart, taken the motor out, and the impeller on the motor moves freely. No sign of any blockage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated to get this little machine up and running.

Replaced the capacitor but still no joy.

the fact the motor is getting hot after such a short time would make me think the motor windings have failed and when the motor gets too hot the safety stat trips to stop it going on fire
