Zanussi ZT 685 dishwasher – cannot select a program

Please could you help. I have the green power light and salt indicator light on but the program selector buttons will not operate any program. I have the model with 5 selector switches in a row on the top panel when you open the door. Product number is 911847004 aand Type is shown as 911N83-7F. Thanks in advance

Check that the door latch mechanism in the top of the door is in the open position. You cannot set a programme if the latch is in the closed position.

Thanks for the good advice. It’s now working fine. I think maybe I need to think about replacing the small micro-switch on the door closure as it obviously has an intermittent problem. I’ll see how it goes over the next few days and make a decision. Thanks again …. I’m glad it wasn’t the electronics !
