Zanussi ZT615 not completing cycle

Hi all

I was wondering if any of you could offer assistance.

My Zanussi ZT615 integrated dishwasher is not completing its cylcle. It stops shortly into it with the ‘Rinse Hold’ program flashing. Occasionally it completes the cycle i.e we try it 2 or 3 and it works on the 3rd. However, the number of times we have to try is getting progrssively larger and larger.

I have checked the instruction manuals and in it it says that if this should happen, should check any blockages on the cold water pipe. This I did, and there seemed to be a very small build on the filter, however, it wasn’t too bad.

Irrespective of this, it did not fix the problem. Now we cannot get the program to complete. It starts off, water intake is ok, it rinses, then it drains, all ok, but it doesn’t now go to the next stage of the program i.e. Now we always get the flashing ‘Rinse Hold’ program, with the soap compartment not having been opened etc.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to resolve this? Any ideas on what the problem might be? Any maintenance I can perform (e.g. WD40 on the controller board).

It’s an old machine which has served us well. Do I just replace it?

Sounds like the classic BLUE TUBES problem.
