Dishwasher fills and empties, but stops part-way through all program cycles, giving this error message. The handbook is curiously silent on the subject. We’ve checked the hoses aren’t kinked and don’t think there’s any blockage in the drain or inlet – help please!

Sorry no one has got back to you on this one, I will try and find out on Wednesday.
TDS lists error code “A” as a fill problem. A4 is not listed. As you have stated that the machine does fill, this may be related to water level control – ie machine not sensing water level correctly. This is probably related to the fill matrix on the side of the machine collecting sludge and is a singularly awkward problem to resolve.
An engineer may well be the best option. Check “Repairs@” for an engineer in your area, or pop up your postcode in here and someone should pick up on it.

Penguin45.Thank you so much for this info – long-suffering husband plans to disembowel the blimmin’ thing one more time to desludge if possible. Probably will need an engineer if that fails – we’re in Croydon Surrey, if anyone can advise? 🙄
