Zanussi ZWD 1271 W (washer-dryer)

my zanussi ZWD 1271 W (washer-dryer) starts the wash cycle for the first two minutes (during the detergent intake phase). after that the green led above start/ pause begins to blink. the wash, rinse, drain cycle never starts.

however i have tried separately drying the clothes function, and it seems to work ok.

i have tried with empty load, doesnt help.

can any experts shed light on the matter?

Count the blinks & report back, dryer heater going low to earth is a common problem on these.

seamy – thanks for your response mate.

the blinks are continuous, never ending.

when i select the cycle the wash/rinse/spin program phase indicator lights go on. when i start the cycle, the wash program phase indicator lights is on.
after the detergent intake is completed all the wash/rinse/spin program phase indicator lights led are lit again and the start/pause button led blinks continuously.

can you please help?

take the top off and disconnect the dryer element and try it……
