I’ve got the above named washing machine that stops its cycle after the first 3mins and nothing I do can convince it to restart. The cycle starts as normal, it fills with water, the drum rotates a couple of times then pauses with the start/pause indicator flashing. It doesn’t appear to enter the wash cycle. It does drain when selected. It doesn’t spin when selected. The filter is clear. The machine has been reset a number of times. It doesn’t display any error codes. The load has been redistributed and reduced. The outcome is the same no matter what wash cycle is selected.

The timer shows the remaining minutes reduce by 3min then returns to the beginning at which point it pauses. Pressing the start/pause button has no effect.

I’d be grateful for any hints on what might be wrong and what I can do about it.

    Thank you.

Check the insulation on BOTH heating elements.

Yep. My guess would be an earth leakage on the dryer element

Thanks guys. Soon after I posted this, the machine started working fine.

I’ve since found it’s not level, that said there isn’t much in it. I’ve since levelled it and there’s no problem.

Must say I’m not particularly confident with it and expect some further agro. Out of interest, can an earth leakage be intermittent? If that’s the problem it’s going to be beyond my expertise to fix.
