Zanussi ZWD 1480 W – E20 after 10 mins drying

Hi,

I have a Zanussi ZWD 1480 W washer/dryer. Yesterday it started stopping after ~10 mins of drying with an E20 code. I have tried the following:

1. Removed the front filter and checked for blockages.
2. Removed the drain pump and checked electrically – was ok.
3. Checked drain hoses for blockages.
4. Removed the recirculation pump and checked electrically – was ok.
5. Poured a bowl of water into an empty drum and turned on the drain cycle – all water drained ok.

Last weekend there were rumours of it making a slight clunking noise – but it isn’t known if that was the contents clunking…

Does anyone have any ideas? I have run out 🙁

id still change the pump.. the earlier askoll pumps had a toc in the windings and were prone to failure

but yes, cleaning the condenser is the right way to go

Soo…. anyone have a picture of a condenser? I am confident to take the thing apart, but I don’t know what I am aiming for…

Ahh – very obvious once the back is off 🙂

Full of gunk… That’ll be the problem then…!
