Zanussi ZWD1262W Washer/Dryer Not Heating

Good afternoon all,

Wondering if anyone can help with the above problem?

The customer reported a nasty noise from the above m/c, so I visited, and diagnosed the dryer vent’ fan was worn and noisy.

Having renewed the above, testing revealed the dryer wasn’t producing any heat.

I electrically tested the two thermistors/’stats located in the heater housing and the heating element, which all gave good readings.

However, the temp’ probe in the front plastic duct at the front of the heater housing gave a poor reading, so I renewed that.

Alas, the no heat fault remains, and I don’t know why!

Do these thermistors/’stats ever give good reading even though faulty?

I’m wondering if the manual re-set one is faulty, as the re-set button is vague, or if I should be looking at other causes?

Any help much appreciated.

Have you checked the ntc in the duct to drum hose – bottom RH side as the wires break off

No, I’ve been concentrating on the upper/heating/fan ventilation areas.

Could you let me know if the sensor you mention is located at the lower RH side of the machine, or if you are referring to possible broken wires down there?

The sensor is located in the hose and the wires break off the terminals you could get to them from underneath the machine PM your email if you req more info
