ZANUSSI ZWD1271 RESETIING ITSELF

if you put the appliaance on to any wash / rinse or spin cyscle it runs for between a couple of seconds and a minute and then resets itself and teh start light flashes, we have tried the main pcb (right hand side) but to no avail, any ideas?

Usually when an error is detected, and it sounds like that may be the case, then both the ‘start’ LED and the ‘end’ should flash. Does the end LED flash as well?

When it runs, as you say, only the drain pump should at that point. Once an error in the circuit is detected it then throws up an error code. More often than not it’s either the water or dryer elements or the brushes that cause this.

Final question: Have you entered into the diagnostics cycle?

only the start light flashes, and i dont have the diagnostic cycyle for this one

Check for low insulation on drier element.I also had a similar strange fault on one of these where the circulating pump was open circuit(wire snapped on tag)

Simon, there is loads on this in this forum. Just do a search e.g. “ZWD1* start flashing” tick find all terms. Or search for “40Megohm” 😉 . But can also be damp.
