The ZWD1271w machine powers up, all selections are possible but when pressing the start/pause button it doesn’t click & start the cycle as it would normally.
It has no visible signs of damage etc & springs back normally.
    No error codes shown.
Obviously it may not be that button but a connection to something else, any ideas on how to track the fault down so I can buy the correct spares?

    Thanks in Advance!

Door lock is the first thing that springs to mind but on most machines I would expect an error code but can’t look that up till I am in front of a computer

Child lock has it been put on by accident ?

    Thanks Dave
I don’t think a child lock is on that machine (I haven’t found it if there is).
First thought I had was to wonder about the door lock, they are cheap enough to try one anyway I guess. Easy to fit?

    ***Update***
Figured out how to get into diagnostics (start+reset & power up) & it comes up with E51 & 6 beeps.
    Not looking good. πŸ˜•

E51 is motor triac short circuit. It’s a small electronic switch on the board

This fault can also be caused by a slight earth fault on the motor so before you do anything else I would remove the brushes and clean all the carbon dust off them then put them back and try again
