Zanussi zwd14581w1 washer dryer – dryer problem

Hi Peeps.

I have a customer with a Zanussi zwd14581w1 washer dryer, it works great during wash cycles, but when she uses the dryer facility the drum is filling with water.

The customer had done a wash the previous day, the cycle had finished and the clothes were “Spin dry”.

She hung some clothes to dry, but the following day she placed an item of clothing back into the machine, set it to dry and it came out warm but soaking wet.
There was about an inch or so of water in the drum.

Has anybody come across this problem before?

since the pump is used in both modes this fault does not make sense. i assume you have checked pump for overheating. there is thermel cutout in winding so will switch pump off till cools down
