as a first time poster to this great site i am hoping someone can help.My zanussi zwf12070w washing machine keeps tripping the electrics about 5 mins into a programme ,i can then drain the machine and it will do a mini 30 programme without tripping but will trip again when itry to do another wash.i have tried turning other appliances off when machine is on so i do think it is overloading the electrics any help would be gratefully received

Usually very straightforward, but the rubber seal does swell and make the old one difficult to remove……..usually it has two plates, one inside the drum, one outside, with nut(s) /bolt(s)/stud(s) pulling them together and “squishing” the rubber against the hole.

Before moving it , try to megger the resistance between the earth(body) of the heater and one of the terminals you should see several K Ohms at least. Anything lower is the cause of your problems (earth -leakage)

Once you move an old heater, it’s really hard to refit and seal successfully,so check first!
