    Hi guys I removed a key from the tub of this thing yesterday by removing the heater and fishing it out, now it wont work I cant access diagnostic , when any prog is selected it takes in water washes for 2 mins then abandons wash, the heater has continunity and the ntc is reading 12.5 ish, booby trapped or just order a heater, cant even select spin on its own, the usual it was alright before you worked on it but I never checked it was.

    What was the initial enquiry from the customer for?

    Did the customer ring about a noise or something else?

    Have you meggered heater etc?

    there was a garage key stuck between the two drums,

    Definately need to Megger the Heater, if there’s any leakage they do all sorts of weird things.

    Any lights flashing a fault code when it stops?

    error 71 but tried new ntc still the same

    Tried new NTC?….That is part of the heater, so, next question, did you change the heater at the same time,?

    (You stated earlier that the heater in question had “continuity” so is it possible you haven’t checked its insulation resistance with a Megger?)

    Anything under 40 Megohms, and the programme will be interrupted.

    daft one …u havnt plugged the double heater wire into the ntc double connection in reverse?

    Thanks everybody all sorted

    Doh!!! Schoolboy error, mixed up the ntc and heater connectors. The NTC I tried was from another element just swapped round, dead quick but if the wiring was wrong it still wasnt going to work. Cheers.
