On my Zanussi ZWF 1437 washing machine after turning on if I press any button the ‘Err’ warning appears in the display and the machine won’t work. I tried pressing the Start and Pause buttons together while swithing it on (hoping that it will reset) but no joy. I have checked the door – it seems to be locked. Why else would the ‘Err’ warning appear without any code.

sounds like it could be the user interface you can try and tighten the screws on the back of the board a quater turn failing that you will need a new user interface board about £45.00plus vat remember power off and unplug before going in to machine
