Hi I’ve got a problem with my Zanussi. How do you remove the plastic tie holding the door seal and should the inside door switch be red hot when the machine is powered up??

The door switches do get warm as they have a small piezo heater inside; but if it is very hot, you would be advised to change it. Door interlocks on Zanussi machines are famous for blowing the PCBs…….. 😉 Click the Shop @ link in the left banner and they will find you the right part.
To remove the gasket retainer, look under the door gasket and you will see a gator type clip arrangement. Use a small instrument screwdriver to gently prise them apart and it should come off easily. Replacement is a reversal of removal, but clamp the gator clip tight using pipe grips or similar. Take care not to slip!!Hope that helps,
