    No Signal from the tachometric generator (the signal must be absent for at least 3 seconds)

    Hi Jem I went through the test sequence to find fault and thats the error i was getting,When I checked the machine I noticed the drum was seized solid would that be the reason cheers,

    Sounds very possible – if the drum was seized and it has a good belt on it then it could also seize/jam the motor which would stop the motor generating a tacho signal.

    motor was fine and also the belt

    Does it still throw up the error after unsiezing the drum?

    Remove the belt, clear the error and then see if it brings it up, my guess is that it won’t come up as the motor will be able to turn again.

    If you are lucky then it will be just something like a stone or sock jamming the tub (Yes I have had a sock jam a drum) otherwise it is a case of replacing the bearings (or tub if it is a sealed tub).
