Zanussi ZWF12070W1 Door Will Not Open at End of Cycle

Hi,
As above. Sometimes at the end of the cycle the door will not open. This happens every now and again. To fix the problem we have to put the machine on a spin cycle once or more times to get the machine to release the door lock.

What may cause this problem and is there an easy way to release the door lock (reset the electronics) so we can open the door without doing further cycles? Even if we turn power off the door lock function still remains locked.

possibly a blockage in the or near the pump , try clearing the pump and attached hoses, may help .

Door lock device needs changed, they have been replaced by a better type of interlock.

Thanks for replies especially Seamy.
So it is not the control system that releases the door lock. The door inter-lock needs changing. Is this a known problem and should this be done under gaurantee without problem.
It is an intermittent problem and recently the machine has been fine i.e. has not had a problem for a week. Any thoughts?

Sorry to butt in, i am new to this forum and i have exactly the same problem with exactly the same washer, i have had mine for just over a year.

I would like to know if the new interlock solved the problem, as i am getting varied answers on another forum, the problem could be caused by a blockage in the pipe that makes the interlock work as well as the interlock being faulty , i can get into the interlock easily enough but i am not confident in testing if it is a blockage in the pipe as the top has to come off etc.

New type interlock needed, if its under guarantee i can’t understand why you are posting here, ring the manufacturers & have it repaired under warranty.
