ParticipantMy Zanussi zwf1421w is stopping mid wash and beeping, always when it’s full of water!
I have read another similar thread on this forum and done what was advised…..I’ve drained the machine and checked the filter is clear and checked the little wheel thingy (sorry I am really not good at this stuff lol!) inside the filter and it goes around fine, when I put the machine on a pump out programme the machine just makes noises like it’s trying to drain the water but can’t……is there anything else I can check?
From everything I have read I am assuming it’s the drain pump???, is it possible for me to sort this myself or do I need an engineer? advice would be very much appreciated!July 10, 2013 at 9:54 pm #397430captaincaveman1

If the drain pump’s working then it has to be a blockage normally either in the sump hose {between the tub and pump manifold} or if its connected onto a sink spigot {Nozzle on the sink u bend} the you need to check around that area.

thanks for the reply captaincaveman…… Sorry to be slightly thick here but……I think I have only checked the filter, I opened a door on the bottom right of the front of the machine and drained the machine with the little hose then checked the filter next to it? how would I know if it’s the pump that’s broken?
I’ll go and check the sump hose now 🙂

Have you checked the drain hose and the sink spigot (if its connected to one ). If they are clear then it can only be the pump.

the drain hose and sink spigot are clear so I guess it needs a new pump! is it possible to order and fit a new pump myself or is it a professional only job?

I’ve just ordered a pump and my Father in law has agreed to fit it! so hopefully that will sort it 🙂
