    The advice was spot on – I found a very battered sock, thanks very much for your advice. The drum spins free and easy now… but…

    The only problem I now have is the missus stuck her oar in and had a root around in the door seal rubber and unsettled the securing spring tensioner. 4 hrs later and I can’t get the bugg3r to go back in….!

    As you can imagine I’m getting a tad desperate – any ideas?

    Remove the band from the front of the door seal. Pull front of door seal free. Remove spring band completely for the moment and fit the door seal to the drum front. Removing door and leaning the machine back will give you a little more room to work into.
    Work the seal onto the tub front, then, the spring…….. Using a convenient third hand armed with a large broad-bladed screwdriver, put the spring into the groove and jam it into place with the screwdriver. Then, stretch and push the spring around the seal and into the groove.

    Easy peasy………. 😀

    hey Penguin, I take my hat off to you mate… your advice has paid trumps. The retaining spring took a little persuading but fitted in a treat.
