Configuration error or ribbon connection between the boards the usual on these. 🙁

The module may have got corrupted? So if you can establish that the connections between the display panel and the main board are OK and the fault remains = duff main board. 🙁

Replacing the board will (in these circumstances at least) cure the problem but the underlying issue may be that a component within it’s control could have sparked the error?….Worth bearing in mind in these instances. 😉

thanks again martin,just popped down to the parents and the bearings are well worn,making a right racket,cannot understand as its not realy that old,wonder if it is worth repairing or tell them to buy a new machine ❓

Telling all my peeps to avoid Lux group washers like the plague at the mo,cant quite believe how quickly theyve went from hero to zero.
The current dryers are ok though.. have one myself 😯
