ParticipantHi all,
As per the post title, my 5 year old Zanussi ZWF1430W washing machine is giving me a few problems. It started with the E90 error code (I removed, cleaned and reattached the blue cable harness) and now the machine fills with water but will not turn the drum or wash.
The machine will spin and drain ok, just no wash action 😕
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Did you check the boards for damage, e.g. blown tracks?

Hi, No, I haven’t touched the PCBs. Is it likely to be the the one behind the control panel or the main control unit itself?

Well done that man :worthy:
The main control PCB is fried, several tracks and components all blown 🙁Is this time for a new machine?
Regards

Might be repairable – in the trade we use a company called EMW – emwelec.co.uk – not sure if they sell to the public as well. They don’t do all Zanussi boards but from memory they do yours – you can give them a call and check.
Whether it’s worth repairing really depends on what component has blown the board – something cheap like a door lock would make it worthwhile, whilst if it’s the motor perhaps not. Can’t post wiring diagrams here but you can always trace the wires from the blown tracks, or EMW will tell you if you’re getting it repaired. Not a cheap repair job, though, I’m afraid.

Many thanks for the advice odom, the machine is five years old and well used and we need a replacement pretty quickly so….I’ve ordered an AW23 today for delivery and installation on Monday.
I hope that this meets with your approval 😀
If you look at my other post, you’ll see that my tumble drier packed in as well, so I’m looking for a replacement for that as well. :sadder:
And no, I can’t afford an ISE10 tumbler – before you ask :rolls:
