This machine stops between wash and rinse just after it has pumped all the water out and started to spin all the normal lights are on but nothing is happening, if you switch machine off and back on it starts were it stopped and continues through the program. It will do it again during the rinses again just after it has pumped all the water out and when it is starting to spin.
Now it does not do it every time and in fact I have not seen it do it. I have been back three times now to try and sort it out. Have meggered heater motor and machine all infinity have tightened all the connections to the PCB and visually checked the PCB for dry joints etc checked the motor taco and magnet, taken hoses off pressure switches and tested pressure switch connections all seems ok there. Have run test programmes to verify machine all working. Did look to see what the last error was when I went on my first visit can’t remember what is was now, I did follow it through the manual but it did not help?
I did see on another post that Dan said it could be “worn empty pump”
Has anybody had this problem or can give me other suggestions where to look?
Thanking you for looking

You don’t mention water valves but presumably you’ve checked them carefully. Might be worth replacing them/it just in case it’s gone intermittent somehow and see what happens. Other than that, it sounds like a strange board fault. Do EMW do this one? You could ask them to send you one to try in.

I have only tested them from the test programme to check they work ok. It is very difficult to diagnose as it will not do it for me, even sitting and watching it go through a program. I am not sure EMW do this board. That is what I am suspecting it might be. As you say might be worth replacing the valves just in case.
Thanks for the reply Mike

bernie, have you been testing on your visits with an empty load??? just wondering if this has a software glitch which allows oob to kick in on rinse, as ive come across a helluva lot of zanussis that seem to have so many sketchy software issues that allow things that should not happen, to happen…

Most of my test were empty although there was once when the washing was still in there. I did confirm that the customer had put a full load and was told yes.
I think you have got the answer there because she said that just as it was starting its spin after the rinse and before it stopped the machine made an unusual noise
Thanks for the reply gandh1

I’m with Dan on this…..duff pump. Works great one minute, sticks and just hums the next. Doesn’t show in diagnostics either. 😉
