ParticipantZanussi ZWF1432W Washing Machine not finishing washing cycle on Cottons and Synthetics at 95c and 60c. Fails on Rinse mode, leaving fabric conditioner in tray. Delicates and Wool do fully finish the washing cycle.
I am wondering if the problem is one of the following PCB, but I do not know which PCB controls the wash program, if this is the fault!
- Machine Electronic Control Module PCB – this PCB is located behind the Facia Panel with the buttons and LED lights on.
- PCB Configured EWM1000+ (Main PCB Module) – this PCB is connected to the above PCB via 3 blue and 2 black cables. There are also lots of other cables connecting various other parts, modules, sensors, etc.
I know this is quite an old Washing Machine, but if it just needs a part to fix it then we would like to keep it.

ParticipantThanks for replying Dave.
When the Washing Machine stops on the Cottons and Synthetics washing cycle, it does not make any noise. The only way I have found to get around the problem, is to switch the machine off, then back on again. Then manually skip the wash, by selecting rinse.
We do not have any fault codes.
I do have the washing machine in bits at present time, so I am able to attach photos of parts if needed.

ParticipantSometimes it stops with water in the drum, and sometimes it has drained. It does pump water out when rise is selected manually.
When touching the glass on the door, it feels quite warm/hot, so the water is getting heated.
The display lights wash, rinse, and spin are still on when the fault happens.

Moderatorsee pic
with machine off push and hold both right hand buttons (black arrow)
then turn on machine and keep buttons pressed and the light will start flashing in orderyou are now in service mode.
now use the left hand buttons ( red arrow) to go through each of the components. each step checks a component i am more interested in a fault code so keep pressing the button till you see an error code E?? in the display
i am hoping that might give us a clue

ParticipantI found the following instructions for a Zanussi ZWF1432W without a display:
- Turn the washer off and then press and hold the start button and the reset button
- Keep them held in and turn the washer on.
- Once the leds start scrolling down let go of the buttons.
- Now press the fabrics button until the 40 deg led is lit.
- Now the start and end light will be flashing.
- You need to count the number of flashes from each of the lights in-between the pause and let me know.
When pressing the fabrics button it goes through the following lights: Cottons, Synthetics, Delicates, Wool, 95c, 60c, 50c
When I press the fabrics button once more, the 40c light does not light up, but the washing machine beeps five times, then a pause. The Start/Pause and End of cycle lights also flash in the following order the same time as the beeps: Start/Pause light flashes twice, the End of cycle light flashes five times.
Could be Error 25.
Does this help?

Moderatormaybe thats error 52 which is a motor problem
i would check the motor brushes and see if they are arcing causing the problem

ParticipantError 52 – No signal from the motor tachometric generator.
Tacho coil on the motor is most probably faulty. This coil reads a magnet as the motor turns to detect the speed that the motor is spinning at and this in turn allows the electronic controller to set the motor to revolve at different speeds for the various program options.
I have put the washing machine on its side, and can see the tachometric generator on the motor. Where I can get a replacement tachometric generator (tacho coil) from for this ACC motor?
Zanussi ZWF1432W
Product No. 914521108-02ACC motor
below is the information on a orange label of the motor.
Type: 20584.603 AC-EL CL.B/F
240v 50Hz 480/15000 RPM
124617908
MU 2-3 PO55
3-31-E .CO. 07.56
584603.4I have a photo that I could add to show what the tachometric generator (tacho coil) looks like, but the forum is not letting me upload the photo, I have used my quota.

Moderatortry getting a multimeter and test it
you should get a resistance reading across it and if you turn the motor this will change
it could also be the magnet inside the coil not revolving
if you need to post photos post on an external site and post a public link
