Hi, wonder if anyone can help me.
I have a zanussi zwf167010w1 and the door wont open. Gets to the end of the cycle and continuosly flashes on the door light and wont unlock it. have tried it on other cycles and tried draining and cleaning pump at front but it wont budge. I presume it is something to do with the electronic switch and so will need to sort this but i need to open it as it is full and we need what is inside! Any help?

    Cheers

Common problem, the interlock needs replaced, if you don’t feel competant get an Engineer to change it, it should’nt be too expensive of a repair.

    Cheers,

have sorted it for the time being. Left it off at wall overnight with no luck. Took lid off this morning and reached down to lock, gave it a squeeze and has worked fine ever since then – several loads done today. Will look at changing lock.

This is a big “if”….but,- IF it’s the electronic doorlock which i THINK it is, then the contacts burn over time and eventually weld themselves together.

Continuing to use the machine in the manner you describe, COULD fry the main control-board.

The cost of the board makes a repair uneconomic. IIRC spares@Whitegoods has them under £20 and delivery is usually quicker than finding a local repairer/spares supplier with one in stock
