This one has been driving me round the bend.
usually the first wash of the day it is ok

THEN

The machine will stop part way through cycle and the start light will flash. Going into diagnostic it will not show any faullt code plus if you stop on the way to position 10 it will revert back to start light flashing only and not do any of the test sequences.
Heater and motor are not down to earth. Brushes are like new. Valves ok plus pump.
Anyone any ideas

It looks that this may be the answer. Just do not understand why it will work for about 1 1/2 washes then stop with flashing start light. No fault code or end light. Even in the test mode will start to fill in postion 2,3 or 4 then will stop with start light flashing. ( lenght of fill varies and no fault code)

Did you solve this as I have one doing the same? The one I went to worked fine right through the wash then suddenly seemed to start an uncontrolled fast spin for a second or so then stopped with the start / pause light flashing. I checked the tacho magnet and it was secure. I then put it on a rinse and it worked fine again. It’s as though something is turning the motor on hard then the tacho circuit is detecting a fault and shutting down.

What megger readings are you getting on whole appliance and on heater and motor, individually? It is well known that Lux electronics are a bit sensitive that way. I’d be wary of any component under the 40Megohm level.

Yes, It will be worth putting on the heater in diagnostics for a good while to see if earth fault is only developing when heaters been on for a good while or ask cust to put on a boil wash b4 you call

Hi

Have been with machine when gone faulty and no problems have shown when all parts are checked via megger.

I suspect motor which just before I went on holiday 2 weeks ago I managed to secure a new one from flea bay.

will try that this week and let you know.

Hi Geoff1,

Did you get any result with this machine? I am having a similar problem with a ZWF1432W. Everything else checks ok so I am suspecting it is the PCB.

I’m going to have another look tomorrow. Did the faulty motor in question show any insulation failure?

Just to bring this one up to date.

Changed motor over but it the fault returned once the machince started to fill. this was worse than before.
This fault was located to the heater being down to earth. Changed over heater and awayt it went 😆 well not for long 😥 back to its old tricks but it seem to happen at different times during each cycle. machine may be on hour and stops. start it again 5 mins stops. start it again 1min stop. start it again 15 mins stop 👿
Luck was shining down on me Friday as I went to a call for the same model of machine but had to write it off as there was a hole through the bottem of the welded tub. The lady had no problems with we taking old machine away after installing new machine.
Back at home module out of the leaking one and into may problem machine and away it went 😆
and it is still going 3 cycles later 😀

What have I learnt?
If it stops early in the programme it could be heater or module but if it stops later ie rinses and spins it could be the toc in motor.
I will carry the board to use as a test module
