Yet another mystery Zanussi fault. Symptoms: Select 40deg Eco wash, fills, tumbles and heats. At some point it simply stops and the Start/Pause LED just flashes. Turn machine off and select rinse-spin cycle then it works as normal, drains, rinses, spins and the turns off, no probs.

I interrogated the ‘last error code’ and it flags up E23. (Pump triac, pump faulty, wiring faulty, circuit board faulty) and in the absence of not finding fault with other components I replaced the pump. (which was well worn anyway as it happens).

Customer uses it straight after, exactly the same, stops mid cycle full of hot wet soapy with Start/Stop LED flashing. Turn it off, check last error (E23). WTF? :con:

Customer well pi&&ed off and after looking at price of a circuit board, so am I. 👿

Had a zwf1421 doing similar.Same error code.Sat watching it and just before it failed it did a short burst at spin speed then just sat doing nothing.
Changed the motor and it has worked fine since.
