Zanussi ZWF1631W washing machine stops within 30 seconds of programme commencing
Machine has been faulty for several weeks. Initial fault codes suggested a pump issue, then a carbon brush issue and also a control board fault.
Pump and carbon brushes were replaced by new parts and control board has been replaced by a 2nd hand part but problem remains and the latest fault codes are
E52 – “no signal from the tachometric generator”
E66 – “The contacts of the heating element power relay are always closed”
A search of this Forum indicates that a leak in the earth wiring to the heating element often throws up random fault codes. Unfortunately I have neither the tools nor the know how to check the earth wiring (I have ordered a 2nd hand heater element in the forlorn hope that it is the actual element that is faulty).. I am beginning to feel that I am not any closer to identifying the actual fault and wonder whether I should just bin the machine
Any advice that might help fix my faulty machine would be greatly appreciated

2nd hand any spare is a risk but that appears your only last ditch option before ditching it altogether. 🙁
