Zanussi ZWF1631W error code E20

any help would be gratefully received

Zanussi machine shows error code E20 at the start of the drain cycle with a display time for the program at approx 49 minutes, no drain function starts, but if I hit the start/pause button the machine will carry on the cycle and drain fully, I have taken the back off and cleaned the pipes to and from the drain pump and also from the bottom of the drum,and the foul waste pipe from the machine and the wall drainage.the pipework generally was quite clean,
the pump does run and the front filter is clean, the pump may be a little noisy in operation but I have no reference to compare.

The pump needs replacing. The bearings of the pump are worn (hence the racket) and it slows as a result and times out the electronics (hence the E20)…replace the pump!

Hi Martin Just to say a big thanks, the motor I ordered from the on line store here has sorted the issue £12.50 well spent. thanks
