This machine only a year and a bit old. Doesn’t get much use as an old man living on his own owns it..

Called to him this evening visiting him. Turned on his machine. The drum turns too fast each direction when washing and jumping and giving the error code E 62..

I had no tools or meter to check anything. Is this the board or motor that’s failed?

Motor tacho fault. But its cheap tack from china and not a true zanussi in the slightest. Throw away job.

I know E62 says motor triac but I’ve found replacing the board is not always the answer its been the motor but seems as its just cheap cr4p in disgiuse as something which was once well built and respected either way throwing parts at it is false ecomnomy. (If its out the g’tee that is )

Would say i’ve done at least a hundred of these with E62, never had to replace a motor for an E62 fault, have had to replace many motors because of them breaking the mounting lugs off the tub & for wire broken to tacho.

Triac could be replaced on P.C.B, not more than a quid for the part i’d think.. 💡
