Zanussi ZWG1140M has lost its chimes and button beeps..?

Hi, this is a strange one. Our Zanussi ZWG 1140M washer was beeping when you pressed the buttons and chimed when you first switched it on and at the end of a cycle. All of a sudden it’s stopped making the noises but is working fine. In the manual, it says that the sounds can’t be disabled, but somehow our washer has managed it.

Any ideas as to how I can get the washer chiming again?

Still interested? Thought not, and that is very sensible. Your model is either Chinese ( PRC ) or the Thailand made machine product code 914579833/00. Spares are a complete rip off for your model; so that can be read as typical Zanussi as well as AEG and J Lewis. As a suggestion I would just carry on and ignore ” the problem “.
