zanussi zwg7160p won’t spin..

Hi our washing machine has started having this intermittent problem over the last week or so.it will do the whole cycle up to the spin cycle when it wont spin but you can hear the drain pump running, it also leaves the fabric conditioner in the dispensing drawer.i have found the error code EF5 (think its unbalanced load).I have tried doing a reset by pressing the start button and the one to the left then turning the dial 1 notch clockwise waiting for the display to scroll then turning dial 1 notch at a time clockwise to the offposition then turning dial to any position then back to off, but it still wont spin.If I wait 1 hour after this it is ok for a while but the problem returns.i have even tried it with nothing in the drum and it still wont spin, so I dont think its a balance problem.
is there anyone that could help me with this problem thanks..

Check motor brushes.
