    Hello,

I am currently having an issue with my Zanussi ZWH7162J washing machine. Especially at the higher temperature settings (90 and 60 degrees), the machine will stop mid cycle, not completing the cycle, the door will stay locked and the timer will reset, but this does not occur as often on the lower temperature settings. It will often take 2 or 3 attempts to get the machine to perform the complete cycle. I have checked the machine for error codes as detailed on the site and it comes up with the code E3A, which seems to point to a faulty PCB. Are there any other diagnostic tests I can try, and if it is a faulty PCB, is it relatively straightforward to replace?

Thank you for your help in advance,
    Finn

E3A: Problems with “Sensing” circuit of the heating element relay

now you say it seems to be worse with higher temps

    I would check
    1 heater for earth faults
2 look for bad solder joints in the heater relay on the main pcb

    Hello,

I am just wondering what the best way to check for heater earth faults would be. Can I do it with a standard multimeter or would I need more sophisticated equipment?

    Thank you for your help,

    Finn
