Zanussi ZWHB7160 cannot open filter in drum
Anybody give me any suggestions as to how to get the filter in the drum open as it is stuck I guess with coins or something.
I am going to this tomorrow Tuesday; I have not seen one of these before, so any help much appreciated.

Hi Bernie, some of these don’t have filter that customer can empty & instead need a torx driver to open.
If you need to you can take pump off from underneath, theres a plastic inner part behind pump on some of them that can hold coins etc.

This Customer has to empty the filter every time she uses the machine and always finds coins etc in it, I think she has several children.
She just told me that she cannot open it now, it seems to be stuck

I was wondering if the wash paddle filter could be removed and found out that it can but it is held in by four Torx screws on the inside of the drum and you have to drill two holes in the outer tub at the top to get to them!
I now have the service manual if anybody needs a copy

I only hope I do not have to do this and it is something just stuck in the filter.
Hope one does not drop the screws, getting them out and putting them back!

all it was was lime scale holding the filter in!

Log into your Connections account in Firefox (does not work in internet explorer) and If you search by brand, washing machine Zanussi, ZWHB7160 its on page 34 open the Mediator tab there are two one is the service manual the other is Guide to diagnostics you can down load them both

Just limescale? I was hoping for a much more dramatic reason given the build up to this story. Gormless women not bothering to check children’s pockets deserves a more tragic outcome.
