ParticipantAs the title suggests, I have a Zanussi washer/dryer that overfills water past the top of the door and eventually water comes pouring out of the detergent drawer.
I have looked into these symptoms and understood it was probably an issue with the pressure system. I taken the lid off the machine and removed the pipe from the pressure switch and I can blow down it, there are no blockages. I took a chance and ordered a new pressure switch as they weren’t too expensive, which hasn’t solved the issue.
I’m not sure where to go next other than to replace the machine, which I would rather not do. Can anyone please advise of anything I can test or where they think the issue may lie?
Thanks, any help greatly appreciated.

are you getting any error codes ?
have you looked carefully at the pressure hose for damage? a small pinhole is enough to lose the air and overfill
if you pause the programme does the water stop flowing in ?

No, not getting any error codes.
If I pause the programme it does stop filling immediately.
Haven’t checked the hose, mainly because I’m not sure what the other end is connected to, whether it just pulls off and how I would go about reconnecting it.

item 114 connected to the sump hose is an air chamber
that is where the hose goes and if after checking the hose for damage you find none the next check is to make sure this pressure bell is clear of sludge

Thanks for the suggestion, will give it a try.
Any tips on how best to access it?

OK, so I have another oddity.
Been forced to handwash some clothes tonight, used the machine to spin them and then dry them. Spin works fine, then trying to dry them produces an ‘E10’ error code. After this, the clothes have gone from ‘damp’ after the spin cycle to ‘can wring them out’ wet during the drying cycle.
Confused.

no it sort of goes with the other problems
dryer uses cold water to condense steam
there are 3 faults in the E10 range
E11 Difficulties in water fill for washing
E12 Difficulties in water fill for drying
E13 Water leakageDave
