zanussi zx77/5si fridge freezer alarm

Hi I have zanussi zx77/5si fridge freezer that is working ok but every 5 to 6 weeks the alarm goes off and when reset its grand for another 5 to 6 weeks then the same thing happens again, the condensor has been cleaned out properly, it seems a nuisance problem more than anything else, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

the last time i seen this problem with one of these it turned out to be a slightly weak compressor. i.e.- enough to keep it frozen but the pcb times the lenghth of time it takes to get back to temp after defrost and if it longer than the preset then it gives alarm

thanks martinm for your answer is there any way i can bypass or reset pcb and or disconnect alarm etc because its not really worth replacing compressor and re charging the unit or will they just have to put up with the inconvienience of the alarm going off every so often.

I think as long as its keeping temp they only have to press alarm off when it happens.
