The “frost free” is not working. We had someone look at it and they said it “may be the sensors” but they did not inspire much confidence in me. Have manually defrosted it a few times since. I have put a meter on the heater circuits and they appear to be ok. Could it be the sensors? Anyone have any ideas of approx cost. Or is it system board fault?
Is there anyone in my area ,Essex/East London, who is an expert with these?
Oh how I wished we had stuck to manually defrosting every 6 months.

It’s the defrost cycle that seems to be the problem.
As there’s a few versions of this model can you post the product number up, it begins 92840????. You’ll find it on the rating plate, next to the salad bin normally.

If you’re sure the heaters are ok (checked when out of circuit) there is an overheat cut out in there as well, check that for continuity.
Make sure you unplug it 1st 😉
There are no sensors relating to the defrost cycle that I can see, it’s all controlled and timed by the control unit.
If you’re after an engineer, which is probably the way to go, can you pop your postcode up, there’s a few engineers on UKW that cover your area but not all the postcodes.

Yes an engineer is probably the way to go. We’re in RM11.
