zanussiFLS1185QW washer, fills but wont move on in programme

Hi.
My washer fills then does nothing else, will drain when i manually move it on and drum turns freely manually, from reading forum think it may be the water level sensor or carbon brushes but on trying to get into machine cant seperate the casing which splits in half have taken top off and parts at top but cant see how attached at bottom ? any help on how to get off casing would be appreciated so we can check out the propblem before calling someone out if necessary.
