Hello..The timer control seems to have a mind of it’s own, seems run through the program without actuating any of the cycles exept the the drain pump. The timer itself is less than 12 months old and the motor brushes have plenty of life in them as they were replaced a couple of years ago. The control module looks ok too, though the motor seems quite stiff to rotate by hand with belt removed; is this normal or does it rotate easily?Advice much appreciated. 😕

It may be the tacho has come unscrewed from the armature, this can cause tightness and make the timer advance.

Type “tacho” without the quotes in the forum search and pick out all the Zanussi and Electrolux posts, that should help 🙂

Power off of course when checking the machine 😉

    Dave.

    Thanks Dave.
I’ve taken the tacho apart and found the small magnet broken. According to other postings there should be a thread; if this is the case then the thread is still inside the armature. Can I order just the magnet, or the whole tacho assembly ?
    Cheers!
