assume you mean the idler pulley circlip

1 it should be a standard part any garage or engineers supplier would have it

2 it should be ok without it as long as the belt and pulley are not worn. motor grooves will keep belt in correct place. idler pulley is a crown pulley ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sM0Qjumyro ) so will self centre

i always keep the circlips i get off old hotpoint condenser dryer pulleysthey are the same size

i thought about them clips from the hotpoint pulleys
