i was called out to this fridge freezer with a report of not cold in fridge went to look and found freezer blocked up
advised 2 day defrost and left it at that
few months later i get a call again saying she has to keep doing it every few weeks and as she is going on holiday i took it to my workshop and tested it
i found it to be iced so thorough defrost and dry out
plug it in and all seems fine
i could see around the defrost element that any ice was starting to melt when it kicked in
the only fault i had was the fan making excess noise and within a few days the fan stopped so i assumed this was the fault
i ordered a new fan and fitted it and it was immediatley obvious that the new fan was far more powerful than the old one i assume it was running slowly as it started to sieze
i then tested it for a week and all seems fine back from holiday she comes i send her the fridge back and all is good
    roll forward ten days
very irate fridge is not working i paid you £x for having this done and you hacve not done anything it is still faulty
i bring it back into workshop and sure enough lots of ice around where the air goes into the fridge but the fan is still running like a good one
the door switches both work and it seals well
it is in the same place it has lived since she owned it and she has never had this fauklt before
    so any ideas
could it be that it does not defrost for long enough
could the element not be getting quite hot enough
she cannot leave the door open as it beeps like mad if you do
some help please this lady does not half make my head hurt when she shouts down the phone to me about this fridge
