zwf14070 heater

    this washer has had 3 or 4 heaters in last 2ish years last heater fitted just over 6months ago, are they crap heaters or would there be something causing them to go, seems cto work fine when heater in but when elements come out they are covered in lime scale
    anyone advise

    never had to replace a zwf1*070 element, always found the drums collapse before they need a new element!

    but seriously, last 12070 i did a drum repair i suggested they may need a new element due to level of calcium, but they declined, so old one was refitted and its still going well, machine is 3 years old now…

    either the limescale is really bad and damaging the element prematurely, in which case cust should be descaling more regularly. or theres another fault…

    Zanussi’s heaters have a habit of burning a hole in the plastic tub. In cases where the element fails as regularly as you have experienced then I would suggest replacing the Analogue Pressure Switch as well just as a precaution.:wink:
