1totalshambles you are a star. I found and bought a board from uk whitegoods direct for just under £90 and fitted it after following your much needed removal advice. Nervously turned on and heard the disco so I am now very happy. All is well again. I bet its only a non japanese capacitor that was the problem. I might feel brave one day and swap them out as a project. Anyway thanks again.
