thanks for all your help guys, i managed to fix it last night!
the only problem i have now is that i managed to lose the washers which are used to fix the hinge back on the machine!
does anyone know where i can get replacements or what size they are?

thanks for the reply…i was worried someone was gonna tell me that its not that easy!
do i need to take the hinge off before i can split the doors?
