Re: F&P Smartdrive Size Switch Error

The machine is doing the washes ok except for one thing that I notice, it does not seem to be getting up to full revs on the spin like it used to. There is no fast spin.
When it is well into the final spin if I take spin speed down from Fast where I usually have it set, to Med the machine does not slow but if I go down from Med to Slow then it slows.
When I go up from Slow to Med it speeds up again but when I go from Med to Fast there is no speed change.
What do I do to get Fast spin back again? I did see one thing about water temperatures in another posting but have tried it on different temperature setting but still does same.
    Thanks

I got size set ok after referring to other info found in oz section.
    Thanks for that.
How do I clear the fault from memory so it does not show again if diagnostic procedure is done again.
I presume if there is no other fault that no lights will show?

Re: Fisher&Paykel Smartdrive 058 controller board help?

I know this is a bit old and must have been fixed by now but I will add my experience.

I had a machine that was pulsing the water inlet valves as described above and also if advanced to final spin, would only pulse pump on and off. After a period of this it would beep and turn off. No spin, no wash.

I found a problem on the motor stator.
The stator has a little brass bar that connects three ends of the windings together (star connection), this connector had corrosion on it and was not connecting constantly.
This connector pulls off and can be cleaned and the terminals it pushes into cleaned with the long bristles of a wire brush or something similar.

This cured the pulsing problem my machine had. Possibly the Red, Yellow, Blue wires to the stator terminals could suffer loss of connection due to corrosion also.
